Hiring Alert: SAT/ACT Verbal Faculty (English) – 2 Positions Available
Looking for experienced teachers who will provide personalized academic delivery and support to students preparing for the SAT and/or ACT, assisting them in achieving their academic goals and in maximizing their potential
Role & responsibilities :
1. Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students enrolled in the tutoring programs.
2. Develop personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.
3. Assist students in understanding difficult concepts and help them in test taking stategies.
4. Review and provide feedback on students' work.
5. Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes academic growth and confidence.
6. Keep abreast of changes and updates to the curriculum and assessment criteria.
7. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school faculty to track progress and address any concerns.
8. Provide guidance and advice to students on study skills, time management, and effective learning strategies.
9. Collaborate with other tutors and educators to share best practices and resources.
10. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Preferred candidate profile
1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (English), Masters will be preferred.
2. Previous experience teaching or tutoring SAT/ACT students required.
3. In-depth knowledge of the curriculum, including subject-specific requirements and assessment criteria.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
5. Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
6. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and deliver effective tutoring sessions.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the changing needs of students and the curriculum.
8. Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
