The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
Act as the responsible commissioning engineer overseeing the Testing and commissioning of Bay level secondary equipment’s. Manage completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Your Roles & Responsibilities:
Act as Testing & commissioning engineer for medium to high complex projects.
Ensure completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Thorough knowledge of conventional control systems & Hands on Experience with SCMS
Hands on with Micro SCADA / RTU Applications
Tools Experience – IET, ITT, Automation Builder, Multiprong, equivalent with Third party Scada systems would be added advantage.
Manages the commissioning activities to ensure quality, timely delivery within targeted costs.
Ensures implementation design changes in commissioning and the production of Red Marked up and as built project documentation.
Supports continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.
Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
100% of the role needs travelling and willingness to travel extensively, including assignments arranged at short notice and on an irregular basis.

Your background:
Diploma/bachelor’s degree in electrical & Electronics Engineering.
3-5 yrs. of experience in Substation Automation systems integrating with Hitachi Energy and other manufacturer Relays in Substations.
Sound knowledge in power system components and testing and commissioning of substation automation system.
Commissioning experience to handle retrofit and manage risk assessments.
Substation automation protocols and communication systems
Software’s such as IET, Micro Scada , PCM, RTU etc
Knowledge on communication protocol – IEC 61850, IEC 60870 – 5-101, 103 , 104, LON , SPA , DPN3 , Modbus etc.
Knowledge on SCADA testing and validation.
Knowledge on various Protocol simulators.
Knowledge on SCIL, VB Scripts, PLC and Structured text.
