Job Scope
The Data management Business Partner as SAP master data consultant is a key role in master data organization. The role is accountable for providing expert master data knowledge and also plays a vital role in maintaining and increasing the skill set of the master data community as well as driving best practice in data processes over a wide range of data stakeholders across the region.
This function is also responsible for front-office, back-office business partner management for the assigned master data domains and applicable functions/countries/categories and manufacturing plants. Example: Master data business partner for Products and Materials in 3 manufacturing plants. This role is to manage digital transformation Journey which includes continuous improvements and automation and this role is also the business partner link for any Governance and sustainability topic, linked with the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert data consultancy and support to domain for all data processes/tools, and to BU for specific processes/tools.
- Be the BU Super Key-user for specific data objects, processes and tools.
- Validation of request and liaise between requestor and back office on domain specific requests to create / extend/ deactivate/ activate master data.
- Key point of contact for business functions / data owners and data consumers and tracking their E2E MD process flows.
- Deploy and co-ordinate Governance and Sustainability initiatives with functions/market/plants/category (Quality, Performance, Training/Testing, industry standards).
- Participate in local meetings (I2M, Business changes, Continuous Improvement, SCR, GS1,…).
- Escalation and issue resolution. Governance calls with back office on performance, issues and reports.
- Project support (Global, regional and local initiatives including link with back-office)
- Key user responsibility for the assigned scope and domain sub-process including testing and training and documentation.
- Work toward maintaining and improving the Performance Measures and work with others to do the root cause analysis for any issues:
- Satisfaction of MDM Customers
- MDM Requests Completed within Service Level Agreement
- MDM Requests Completed as Requested
- MD Consistent Within or Across Data Sources
- MD Compliant with Defined Rules
- Required MD that is Complete
- Records/Objects Processed per FTE
- Work toward maintaining and improving performance through KPI’s: Speed (on-time and fast-track), Quality (High-impact incidents and audit control, Service ( BPO SLA professional standards), Simplification (initiate and deliver automation and process simplification)
Stakeholder relations as Business partner role:
- Local Business Function leaders and data owners/data consumers.
- Global and regional process leads.
- Global and regional governance and sustainability.
- Global and regional project teams.
Required Skill Sets
- English Proficiency mandatory and any applicable local languages.
- Min. 5 years of master data experience. Relevant industry master data experience will be a plus.
- Min. 2 years of business experience in a functional area’ s of finance/supply chain, etc.
- Good knowledge of key systems and tools used in master data:
- SAP master data maintenance, query skills
- S4HAHA is a plus.
- MDG experience is a plus.
- PLM, PIM is a plus.
- GCP, data lake is a plus.
- Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics skills is required.
- GS1/GDS experience is a plus.
- Good and proactive communication.
- Stakeholder management and influence.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Presentation skills.
