SAP Lead Solution Architect, Record to Report

In this vital role you will be responsible for leading, architecting, designing, and implementing SAP S/4HANA solutions with a focus on end to end Record to Report (RTR) processes and capabilities. As an SAP Lead Solution Architect within our global Digital, Technology, and Innovation (DTI) team, this role will help guide the transition from our worldwide ERP instance on SAP ECC to the S/4HANA Intelligent Enterprise, along with the successful migration of the other RTR integrated systems . • Provide vision and strategy to advance the Record to Report (RTR) capabilities
• Lead overall design and solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA RTR solutions and it’s integrated third party systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
• Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Ensure alignment of SAP S/4HANA solutions with business goals and leading practices
• Lead architectural reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver and sustain Amgen's S/4HANA ecosystem utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Develop innovative solutions that drive speed to value via AI/ML and leading control practices

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant SAP experience OR

Master’s degree and 8 to 10 of relevant SAP experience OR

Bachelor’s degree and 10 to 14 years of relevant SAP experience OR

Diploma and 14 to 18 years of relevant SAP experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in leading complex architecture, design, and configuring Record to Report solutions at a global scale
• Hands-on experience in configuring all aspects of S/4HANA Finance /controlling modules: All Accounting facets, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Tax, Cash Management, close, and financial reporting etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); ability to clearly communicate all key accounting concepts
• Ability to lead and resolve complex issues across a distributed landscape of SAP and non-SAP technologies

• Proficiency in Blackline and any Financial reporting tools
• Good understanding of cross functional interdependencies from other value streams (i.e. Plan to Stock, Order to Cash, Source to Pay, etc.)
• Experience working in an agile environment as a product owner and familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong track record of mentoring junior technology talent

• Relevant SAP S/4HANA Finance (preferred)
