We are the SAP Finance Technology team at PayPal supports and manages end to end world class SAP finance applications. As an SAP Basis Consultant, you will play a critical role in supporting and maintaining SAP systems for our organization. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems and HANA databases.

Job Description:


Your way to impact 


As an SAP Basis consultant you will work on diverse portfolio of SAP Applications, take part in our SAP operations team based out of Chennai. Be ready to work in a challenging environment, performing Proof of Concepts on new technologies to implementations, migrations of large-scale systems/applications.


Your day to day 


  • Willing to work in 24x7 support environment (Rotational shift operations support)
  • Provide technical consulting in a high-performing engineering and operations team to build and scale a highly secure, reliable, integrations, end to end automations and solutions 
  • Support SAP applications like SAP ECC, BW, S4HANA, BW4HANA, BTP, BOBJ, SAC, SAP FPSL, LAMA, Solution Manager.
  • Install, configure, maintain, support broad set of SAP landscapes components.
  • Perform core Basis tasks (Daily monitoring, client administration, ALE administration, Jobs administration, transports administration, execute queries, prepare reports, support pack/kernel upgrade)
  • Experience in system Installation/refreshes/DB restore
  • Experience supporting SAP application hosted on any one of the cloud based platform(Azure, GCP and Amazon)
  • Working experience in SAP HANA Database, performed HANA revision upgrade, HANA table partitioning and end to end DB administration.
  • Experience in installing, configuring and support Solution Manager
  • Experience in Upgrades, OS/DB Migrations and Cloud will be added advantage.

What do you need to bring- 


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, application stakeholders, and functional teams to define platform requirements and priorities.  
  • Effective communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and alignment driving skills; able to convey technical requirements clearly
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of SAP Basis relevant experience 
  • SAP Basis Support experience in the SAP S4HANA / BW4 HANA components
  • Any bachelor’s degree
