What you will do
The SAP Basis Architect is responsible for supporting a complex Global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) landscape, consisting of SAP and non-SAP systems managed on AWS. Collaborating with a team of high-performing individuals, including Basis experts and cloud SMEs, the primary focus will be on assisting to ensure the resilience, compliance, and security of our 24x7 regulated and mission-critical global ERP platform. Additionally, the role will contribute to the execution of platform activities for the ERP Modernization program, including the S/4HANA implementation and subsequent operations after go-live.
Assist in executing the roadmap and lifecycle of the SAP platform, ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of SAP and non-SAP components.
Support the operation and maintenance of the SAP platform on AWS in alignment with organizational strategy.
Contribute to establishing or refining playbooks and standards for platform activities such as periodic maintenance.
Perform periodic operational activities to enhance platform stability, including monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
Assist in implementing support packages, release upgrades, kernel upgrades, system refreshes, and other lifecycle activities using automation tools like Solution Manager, SAP LaMa, and SAP ChaRM.
Help develop and maintain automation scripts for routine maintenance tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Assist in operationalizing cybersecurity strategies for continuous monitoring, prioritization, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
Assist in managing SAP systems in validated (GxP) and SOX environments with a strong focus on quality.
Communicate clearly with peers, customers, and senior management.
Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of Computer Science, IT or SAP related field experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of Computer Science, IT or SAP related field experience OR
Diploma and 7 to 9 years of Computer Science, IT or SAP related field experience
Hands-on experience managing SAP landscapes in cloud, specifically with systems such as SAP ECC, S/4HANA, ATTP, GTS, GRC, BW, ATC, GIS, Onapsis, Content Server, and various third-party add-ons.
Exposure to AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation for infrastructure as code, and CloudWatch, etc.
Understanding in SAP HANA database administration, printer management, job scheduling, etc.
Knowledge of AWS and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, assisting in their implementation to enhance the reliability of the SAP platform.
Working experience in DevOps methodologies within SAP.
Familiarity with AI/ML, GenAI to implement advanced technologies in optimizing SAP solutions and driving innovation.
