Job Description


Role and responsibilities:


  • Analyze system operations through monitoring, capacity analysis and root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance.


  • Assist in the overall maintenance and support of the efficient integration solutions


  • Demonstrate knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC), modeling of business processes, application design patterns, and business/functional documents.


  • Develop custom solutions or integrations for projects.


  • Maintain and develops interface from/to various applications.


  • Conduct SAP unit testing to ensure systems meets user specifications.


  • Interface with testing teams to incorporate plans into the testing process.


  • Troubleshoot existing information systems to identify errors or deficiencies and develop solutions.


  • Document technical design and test activities/results.


  • Follow established change control procedures.


  • Provide input to the development and maintenance of development standards for full life cycle implementations or upgrades.


  • Additionally, the individual may be required to


    • Participate in the project planning process with team members.


    • Meet with process team to analyze business processes, understand requirements, and recommend technical solutions.


    • Define test plans and system documentation to monitor testing for the implementation of system enhancements, modifications and new releases.


    • Participate in integration testing.


    • Analyze existing SAP platform to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements, when assigned.


    • Provide Level 2 and 3 support.


    • Provide production support to nightly batch processing.


    • Troubleshoot and resolve production problems.


    • Identify recurring and potential problems and recommends procedures and controls for prevention.


    • Recommend ideas for improving production support.


    • Assist in evaluating new SAP application development tools.


Educational Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline.


Experience:


  • 4+ years of SAP application development (certification preferred)


  • In-depth experience in ABAP Workbench, ABAP Objects, BAPI, BADI’s, RFC, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, IDOCs, BDC and ALV Programming


  • Experience extending existing S/4, and/or writing entirely new S/4 programs and functions


  • Experience designing and maintaining Core Data Services (CDS) views and ODATA services


  • Expertise on CDS tools using ABAP in Eclipse (ADT), and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP)


  • Experience with ABAP on HANA development


  • Familiarity with the methods, functions, and capabilities of SAP HANA, how solutions should be integrated and architected, and additional supporting knowledge to develop and deploy SAP HANA in an enterprise SAP instanc


  • Experience in SAP BTP, Business Application Studio, Restful ABAP Programming Model


  • Experience in SAP Fiori (on-premise and cloud) and web user interface technologies like SAPUI5, JavaScript and Web IDE would be a plus

  • Good conceptual and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
