Role: Salesforce Technical and Solutions Architect– COE Salesforce Number of positions: 1


Description:At Airbus, Salesforce serves as our pivotal Customer Relationship Management platform across the entire group (3 divisions), addressing the end-to-end customer experience and sales funnel while building our comprehensive customer 360-degree view. It is fundamental to our customer-centric transformation and is strategic for the future of our company.
As the platform evolves, we are seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to lead our team in India (currently 7 persons) and lay the foundations for a Global Transversal Centre of Excellence to drive our ambitions on the platform.

As a Salesforce Technical and Solutions Architect​ , you will:


  • Strategic Leadership:Define the roadmap for Salesforce product vision and spearhead its implementation, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.


  • Innovation and Proof of Concept:Drive Salesforce initiatives, creating proof of concept solutions with actionable plans to explore new opportunities and capabilities.


  • Release Management and Adoption:Stay abreast of Salesforce’s latest capabilities and release updates, assess their business impact, and develop comprehensive adoption strategies for enhanced business value.


  • Technical Expertise:Engage hands-on in technical tasks, guiding the team to ensure the best technical designs and solutions for configuration and development, with a strong emphasis on standard Salesforce practices.


  • Process Optimization: Define, document, and monitor processes enabling the team to perform all technical platform activities efficiently and effectively, ensuring quality and timeliness.


  • Platform Management:Oversee critical technical platform activities including certificate management, release and security notifications, platform monitoring, and level 3 support, ensuring they are well-documented, scheduled, and executed.


  • Accountability and Reporting:Take accountability for the team’s activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and serve as the primary point of contact for all technical matters.


  • Design Authority Participation:Actively participate in the broader design authority to present and validate designs.


  • Integration Solutions: Develop secure integration methods for Salesforce within the Airbus IT Ecosystem, ensuring seamless interoperability.


  • Risk Management:Proactively identify and address challenges within the local team, raising alerts as necessary.


  • Global COE Contribution:Play a pivotal role in the Global Centre of Excellence (COE) being established across various Airbus divisions, including Commercial, Helicopters, Défense and Space. Contribute significantly to the COE’s setup and objectives, driving innovation, standardization, and best practices across all divisions.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.


  • 10+ years of experience in IT development and architecture including 7+ years in Salesforce architecture and administration.


Primary Skills:


  • Visionary Leadership: Design and articulate the Salesforce product vision, and create actionable implementation plans.


  • Innovation in Salesforce:Propose and work on Salesforce’s latest capabilities and releases to drive business value.


  • Technical Mentorship: Lead the team from a technical front, providing mentorship and developing proof of concepts for various Salesforce solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues within Salesforce Implementations.


  • Integration and Architecture:Work on Salesforce integration, architectural, and platform-related activities.


  • Process Frameworks:Streamline the Salesforce implementation process framework to align with industry standards for release and deployment within an agile framework.


  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Coordinate effectively with global stakeholders, ensuring timely collaboration with international teams.


  • Comprehensive Salesforce Knowledge:Extensive knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.


  • Proven Expertise:Demonstrated experience in designing, building, and deploying Salesforce solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud).


  • Team Leadership:Lead a technical team to achieve results, providing clear reporting back to the project team.


  • Operational Excellence:Maintain the Salesforce application in optimal operational condition, providing level 3 support, processing anomalies and requests, monitoring corrections, and data loading using Data Loader.


  • Agile Release Management:Manage releases in Agile mode with TMA, delivering versions every sprint in line with the product’s defined way of working.


  • Team Optimization:Manage an agile development team, optimizing development tasks and platform activities based on team skills and learning objectives.


  • Standard Solution Preference:Favour standard solutions over custom ones for long-term sustainability and efficiency.


Good to Have:


  • Salesforce Security:Strong knowledge and understanding of Salesforce security options and architecture.


  • Marketing Cloud Experience:Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connector) is an advantage.


  • Salesforce ecosystem: Any additional expertise or knowledge of additional Salesforce modules or partner applications would be of added value.


  • Aircraft Systems Knowledge:Familiarity with Aircraft systems is advantageous.


  • Language Proficiency:Advanced level of English.
