Position: Sales Manager
Location: Shirwal (Pune)
The Client is one of the world's leading producers of catalysts used in automotive emission systems for light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles.
Purpose of the job –
• He/ She will be contributing towards Business Development, Commercial Sales of Automotive Catalyst & Project Management Activity for Renault Nissan and Skoda-Volkswagen OEM in India.
• He/ She will be responsible for supporting Marketing initiatives at all OEMs, and owners for organizing events and merchandise for the overall SM team.
Strategic Support:
• Responsible for maximizing Company interests at both the Global OEMs i.e., Renault Nissan, Skoda-Volkswagen India entity
• Develop a good understanding of customers’ upcoming projects, and competitor activity and strategize to grow business share and Profit Margin.
• Project management with prompt Gant chart, drive and review the action items weekly or periodically, prospect list and monthly update on the OEM performance to the Line Manager
Customer & Market Focus:
• New customer acquisition, introducing closed loop model, increase share of business
• Bringing Umicore on the panel for new platforms
• Bid submission and negotiation
• Reco sheet management and quarterly submission for prompt PO amends
• Take care of legal agreements like NDA’s, Purchase Agreements, PGM reconciliation etc.
• Database for the industry trends like vehicle sales by fuel, SIAM data and global trends in the industry
• Closely monitor IBP target for individual customer for every year and report quarterly to Management
• Generate market insight and market intelligence on industry trend and report to Management in a frequency agreed with Line Manager
• Case to Case basis – active responsibility of marketing initiatives and organising merchandise for customer engagement
Other Job responsibilities:
• Co-ordinate with product management to offer appropriate technology towards RFQ / Value engineering project
• Regular engagement with global sales colleagues.
• Regular interaction with purchasing and planning colleagues, to make sure inventory is in control.
• Support annual budgeting exercise, market share analysis
• Ensuring Customer Specific Requirements are well managed for respective customers.
• Play an active role in developing Global Financial Model for every bid
• Support the Sales Manager in PGM reconciliation and forecast sanitisation
• Take up projects for year which can add value to the team and individual development
Key Parameters:
• Coating Revenue for the OEMs responsible: €9 Mio from 2025-2027
• Volume in Pieces: 0.6Mio plus
• Geographical scope: India

Educational requirement:
• Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical will have a preference) + MBA or
• Engineer with higher sales experience
Experience:
• 8+ years in sales position
• Sales experience in automotive industry
