Our Client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Head to lead the sales team in promoting and selling Siemens automation hardware products including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems. The Sales Head will be responsible for formulating and executing sales strategies, managing a team of 8-10 sales engineers, and ensuring the achievement of aggressive sales targets. This role is ideal for a leader with deep expertise in automation solutions and a proven track record in driving sales growth in the industrial automation sector of Pune.


Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership & Management:


  - Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 8-10 sales engineers, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s sales targets and objectives.


  - Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and results.


  - Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs, and provide necessary training and development to enhance team skills.


Sales Strategy & Planning:


  - Develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow market share for Siemens automation products (PLC, HMI, VFD, SCADA).


  - Identify new market opportunities, target sectors, and key clients for business expansion.


  - Define and execute account plans for large and strategic customers.


Sales Target Achievement:


  - Drive the team to consistently achieve or exceed annual sales targets and KPIs.


  - Forecast sales revenue, track performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.


  - Monitor sales trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adjust strategies accordingly.


Customer Relationship Management:


  - Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries such as manufacturing, automotive, food & pharma, oil & gas, energy, etc.


  - Oversee negotiations, technical discussions, and contract closures to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.


  - Provide expert-level support to the sales engineers in resolving customer queries, product recommendations, and troubleshooting.


Product Knowledge & Market Expertise:


  - Stay up to date with the latest Siemens automation technologies and product developments, ensuring the team is well-equipped to sell these solutions effectively.


  - Collaborate with the product management and technical teams to deliver accurate product specifications, technical proposals, and demonstrations to customers.


Collaboration & Coordination:


  - Work closely with Siemens team to align promotional activities with sales objectives.


  - Coordinate with the service and delivery teams to ensure smooth implementation and post-sale support, ensuring customer satisfaction.


Reporting & Analysis:


  - Prepare detailed sales reports, including sales forecasts, market analysis, and performance metrics.


  - Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies, improve team performance, and optimize sales processes.


Qualifications & Requirements:


Experience:


  - Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a sales team within the industrial automation sector.


  - Proven experience in selling Siemens automation hardware products like PLC, HMI, VFD, and SCADA.


  - A strong network of relationships within the Indian automation market is a plus.


Education:


  - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or Automation. A Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.


Skills & Competencies:


  - Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and drive performance.


  - Deep understanding of Siemens automation products and their applications across various industries.


  - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


  - Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.


  - Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and adapt to changing market conditions.
