Yahoo serves as a trusted guide for hundreds of millions of people globally, helping them achieve their goals online through our portfolio of iconic products. Yahoo DSP is a powerful and comprehensive demand-side platform designed to help advertisers efficiently manage and optimize their digital advertising campaigns.The Sales Data Insights team is a critical partner to the DSP Sales and Strategy teams, creating compelling, data-driven insights that drive investment decisions by top clients. The team is a visible, vocal partner to Account Directors on the DSP Sales team.


The Sales Data Insights Manager role is responsible for analysis of both first-party data and information from third-party market research resources. The Insights Manager is expected to react to new requests by creating a project plan, setting stakeholder expectations, and executing on the project. The Insights Manager should have or develop over time subject matter expertise on trends in some of the leading advertiser verticals, such as Retail or CPG, as well as on data resources at Yahoo. The Manager will at times guide stakeholders by making recommendations for analyses that will solve for advertiser needs. The Manager will also advocate on data requirements for the team with internal product teams. The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing a busy workload of analytic projects, including conducting the analysis and communicating the implications of the results to stakeholders through slides or written communications. 


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with data summarization and analysis through Hive, SQL or other data extraction languages and tools.


  • Experience creating data visualizations, such as through Slides, Looker, Tableau, etc.


  • Familiarity with trends in the digital advertising industry.


  • Experience presenting the results of an analysis in a compelling and concise way, written or verbally.


  • Experience making recommendations for improving workflows and project enhancements.


  • Experience with cloud based data analysis such as with AWS or GCP.
