Sales and Medical Writer


Overview


The Sales and Oncology will focus on providing writing support for the team, content marketing support for sales enablement and lead the creation of the Corporate Responsibility Report. They will also act as the backup writer for other business units, supporting the team as needed.


Roles and Responsibilities:
 


  • Corporate Responsibility Report:
    Lead the creation of the Corporate Responsibility Report in collaboration with the corporate communications team, utilizing AI for assistance, including reprompting and fact-checking.
  • Field Activation + Sales Enablement:
    Create high-impact marketing materials for field activation to support business-critical divisions and drive growth, including email campaigns, sell sheets, M&A materials, and sales enablement correspondence.
  • Creation of Materials for Field Activation:
    Proactively develop materials that meet the needs of high-growth divisions, ensuring alignment with broader strategic goals
  • Revenue Retention & Growth:
    Partner with the field activation team to create impactful marketing deliverables that enhance client retention and capture new revenue opportunities, addressing local business needs effectively
  • Writing Support:
    Research, interview, and create content in customer-friendly formats.
  • Produce high-quality white papers, blogs, case studies, and marketing materials aligned with the company's brand guidelines and messaging
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and incorporate feedback into the development of content that will appear across Labcorp channels
  • Partner with product managers, scientific leadership, and subject matter experts to identify content opportunities and produce compelling projects/articles
  • Work with Product/Segment and Marketing teams to ensure content development aligns with product launches and significant communication events, including scientific congresses
  • Support business partners with content that advances Labcorp’s mission to improve health and lives, and enriches our efforts
  • Brand Support:
    Collaborate with other writers supporting business units to develop copy for social share language related to brand campaigns. This includes:
    • Copywriting: Create engaging and persuasive content for social media that aligns with brand messaging and campaigns
    • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive communication across all platforms
    • Brand Consistency: Ensure all social media content reflects brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and voice

Qualifications Preferred:


  • 6+ years of experience as a writer, with a focus on scientific and clinical publications or article, relevant to health care providers, but also potentially to practice and health system effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Undergraduate or higher degree in medical-related science, with a preference for additional qualifications in communications, marketing, English, public health, or related fields

Requirements:


  • Strong writing and copywriting skills
  • Strong proficiency and understanding of web content, keywords, and other digital best practices. Ability to be flexible and write both long and short forms copy.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities to engage and excite audiences
  • A track record of collaborating and developing strong relationships with senior leaders and colleagues
