Job Description
Role of Safety Engineer at Site:
- Reporting to Site Safety Lead time to time as per given assignments, given tasks and safety incidences.
- Conducting safety induction to Management Staff, internal audit, training/safety awareness program for all level of Management staff &workers.
- Identify areas for potential accident and health hazards and implement appropriate control measures.
- Monitoring the strict implementation of work permit system.
- Verify the compliance of various statutory rules & regulation and recommendation with respect to safety.
- Training/ assisting supervisors to conduct daily toolbox meetings.
- Investigating accidents /incidents and taking precautionary measures.
- Prepare and review safety guidelines for construction activities like working at height, rigging jobs, crane safety, material handling, and electrical safety proper access.
- Ensuring adequate firefighting at workplace.
- Implementation of international standard of safety.
- Emergency preparedness and conducting fire and rescue drill.
Candidate Specification:
- Any Diploma / bachelor’s in engineering with Diploma in Safety.
- Candidates having experience in Safety management at site preferably in the field of Chemicals, Fertilizers, FMCG, Food processing will be preferred.
- International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices that apply to Process Safety.
- Identify/report technical concerns and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Should be able to attend project and team meetings.
- Conduct technical training session for team.
- Proficiency in remote collaboration tools and practices.
- Quality management system and procedures
- Process Safety workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination.
