Duties and Responsibilities
As Safety and Security Manager, you will support and assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the Security Department to provide exceptional services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide wide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss control, security best practices and security programs including strategic planning.
- Provide guidance regarding "best practice" business security standards, solutions, and guidance to maintain a secure environment for the protection of hosts, guests, property, and information.
- Monitor security conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internal sources and advise on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with all departments and external groups to effectively resolve security-related issues.
- Maintain relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other issuers of security requirements.
- Instill a cost-focused philosophy through training and education.
- Oversee and provide direction for major security-related projects and physical security technologies including but not limited to various card key access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance systems, security services and data security systems, and various other related systems.
- Responsible for inspecting and securing the resort’s guest areas, public areas and heart-of-the-house areas on a regular basis and ensuring any security and safety improvements are actioned within the designated time frame.
- Develop and implement a security training strategy for the property and ensure appropriate
- Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices, and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed, and maintained to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Safety and Security Manager, you must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
- Possess a high school diploma or related vocational training, plus one year of security and safety experience including some supervisory/training experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’s degree and more than five years of experience in a similar security role are preferred.
- FSLD License
- Veterans With prior hospitality experience will be preferred
- Fluent in English.
