Key responsibilities:


SAP Security Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures in SAP systems to ensure compliance, data integrity, and protection against unauthorized access. This role involves collaborating with various teams, troubleshooting security issues, and ensuring that SAP systems operate securely within the organization’s IT framework.
1. SAP Security Administration:
• Design and configure roles and authorizations across SAP modules (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Fiori, etc.).
• Maintain user accounts, profiles, and authorizations using standard SAP tools.
• Monitor and analyze security logs to detect and resolve unauthorized access or security breaches.
2. Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC):
• Implement SAP GRC solutions for access control and risk management.
• Monitor segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Conduct audits and provide evidence for compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other regulations.
3. Security Design and Implementation:
• Work with business teams to define security requirements for new projects and enhancements.
• Implement and manage single sign-on (SSO) and identity management solutions.
• Configure and secure SAP Fiori applications and tiles.
4. Troubleshooting and Support:
• Address security incidents, authorization errors, and user access issues.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis and technical teams to resolve vulnerabilities and apply security patches.
• Provide end-user support and training on SAP security best practices.
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Perform regular system audits and risk assessments.
• Recommend and implement improvements to SAP security strategies and policies.
• Stay updated on SAP security trends and emerging threats.


Required education, experience and job-related skills:


  • 6 -8  plus years relevant experience


  • Graduate / Bachelor Degree


  • ITIL certification will be added advantage
