Job Summary:Synechron is seeking a skilled Ruby Developer with a strong understanding of other technology platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain. The ideal candidate should have experience in software development, Agile methodologies, and working with cross-functional teams. This role involves designing solutions, developing technical specifications, conducting code reviews, and staying current with technology trends.
Software Requirements:
- Strong understanding of other technology platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in Ruby and familiarity with Ruby on Rails framework.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design solutions to meet business needs.
- Develop technical specifications and detailed documentation for new features and enhancements.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements and suggest ways to incorporate them into existing solutions.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and maintainability of the codebase.
- Participate in the resolution of technical issues and provide technical support to team members.
- Collaborate with the testing team to ensure software solutions are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards.
Technical Skills (Category-wise):
- Primary Skills:
- Strong technical skills in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain technologies.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Secondary Skills:
- Experience with version control tools (Git).
- Familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Experience:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Ruby and other technologies.
- Experience with software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and participating in code reviews.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings and project planning sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions.
- Write, test, and deploy software solutions using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other team members.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and advancements.
- Provide technical support to team members and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
