Job Description:

What you’ll do:


Job Responsibilities:


  • Lead compliance requirement efforts for the HPE IT Organization
  • Scoping of new applications and controls in preparation for the Annual SOX IT General Control Testing Plan, and creation/maintenance of related 404 procedure documents
  • Liaise with our internal and external auditor teams for preparation, analysis and execution of SOX controls
  • Lead the pre-test team in their prioritization and testing of SOX controls throughout the year.  Defining the priority order and test coverage for the annual cycle
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to pre-test team members as they become more familiar with test processes and pursue remediation of control issues
  • Drive closure in the SOX Test of Execution audit process, through coordination with control owners and the audit teams
  • Reviews and evaluates annual process and design of SOX controls to continue improvement coordinate removal of controls no longer applicable
  • Provide operational audit leadership, Financial Leadership Board (FLB) representation and response management to the Internal Audit org on any HPE IT issues

What you need to bring:


Education and Experience Required:


  • A Bachelor's degree is required, advanced degree preferred


    • At least 10 years of experience in a SOX and Operational Compliance controls capacity


Knowledge and Skills:


  • • Solid understanding of corporate governance, risk, controls, and regulatory issues that could affect an organization


    • Experience working in a global IT setting, leading team efforts across a mixed geographical and multi-cultural environment


    • Excellent project management and process development skills.


    • Excellent data management/modelling skills – excel or other tools


    • Exceptional written and verbal skills. Deep business experience at domain level. Strong relationship management skills.


    • Proven experience of developing and managing a methodical approach to fielding, reviewing and responding to audit needs


    Good verbal and written communication skills.


  • Strong experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating system, hardware, data center, security, network, voice, end user and serverweb related applications).
  • Strong experience with business IT applications (e.g. supply chain, customer relationship mgmt, HR, finance) . Experience in scripting andor programming language.
  • Experience with implementation, problem analysis and solutioning of infrastructure and business application environments. Foundational knowledge and experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) reference model.
  • Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity. Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility and self confidence. Demonstrated ability to work with geographically dispersed teams. Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
