WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:• Identify high-risk failure modes early in design life cycle
• Collaborate with design engineering and architecture teams to reduce risk
• Develop new test beds based on the physics of failure and expected use behavior
• Deliver test equipment and specifications that are critical to validate product
• Identify sub-components that should be subject to endurance and fatigue testing (Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)
• Work with external vendors on manufacturing, process, and component reliability requirements
• Support failure analysis, post sales product engineering, modeling/predicting of abnormal condition failure exposure, answer pre-sales reliability metrics like MTTR, MTBF, etc.
• Understands the “designed for Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability” mindset
• Experience with calculating Reliability, Availability, and conducting Life Data Analysis (Weibull Analysis)
• Comfortable working from low-level single component design to large system architecture integration and manufacturing
• Assist engineering and manufacturing teams with DFMEAs, PFMEA, FMECAs, etc.
• Familiarity with CAD and PLM software, preferably SolidWorks
YOU HAVE:• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
• Experience/knowledge of material science
• Ideally 5+ years working with large integrated systems at the final point of design and manufacture
• Data-driven mindset with deep analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Ability to complete tests and resolve problems in an unattended manner (self-starter)
• Comfortable working in a demanding, highly-dynamic environment
