Next to some major technological changes Deutsche Bank has decided to step into the Agile software development methodology in order to improve its agility and reduce time to market without scarifying quality.
Primary Role : As a Release Manager is responsible for planning ,coordination and management of software releases across organization ensuring the governance , risk management and Compliance requirements are met. Candidate/Applicant will also coordinate with the different squads and release management to ensure successful delivery of features in production.
Secondary Role : Scrum Master operates at tribe level, and is a change agent with a passion for working with people and teams to help them maximize the value created by the Squad. They will do this by helping the team understand Agile theory, practices and values and translating this into practice by running the standard Agile ceremonies. The Scrum master develops and leads multi-discipline team(s), helping them to deliver value by facilitating progress and coaching them into a self-organized team.

Your key responsibilities :
- As a Release Manager
- Release planning and Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of releases across products and highlight any blockers and facilitate their resolution.
- Stakeholder Management: Co-ordinate between different squads and functions (Development, Testing, DevOps and CSE) to ensure smooth releases.
- Risk Management: Manage risks, dependencies, and ensure the post release processes (like rollback or updates) are streamlined.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with stakeholders regarding release timelines, risks and updates.
- Governance & Compliance: Define, develop and implement quality assurance strategies to ensure the banking software meets the required standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in testing, security and data privacy.
- As a Scrum Master -
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other scrum ceremonies.
- Ensure capacity utilization is optimum and highlight gaps if any.
- Remove impediments that block the team’s progress, ensuring smooth sprint cycles.
- Ensure alignment between product owners, stakeholders, and development teams.
- Coach the team on Agile best practices, ensuring adherence to scrum principles.
- Foster collaboration and communication across teams, ensuring shared understanding of project goals.
- Facilitate and encourage open communication in a safe environment.
- Mediate conflicts by guiding the team through constructive dialogue.
- Promote collaborative solutions and help the team come up with their own solutions, ensuring that the outcome is agreed upon by all parties involved.
- Track feature progress and work with TPOs to highlight any risks/delays in closure of features.
- Facilitate QBR planning and ensure that feature commitments are communicated and agreed with stakeholders.
- Track velocity and report trends.
- Monitor delivery dashboards and work with the team to fix them.
- Ensure JIRA Hygiene is maintained.
- Create Dashboards to depict feature status, progress, and closure.
Your skills and experience
- Knowledge and experience in agile principles and frameworks: e.g. Scrum, SAFe - Minimum 5 years
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Release Manager
- PSM 1 Certified
- Knowledge and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven
- Development, Behaviour Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair working, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- Familiar with tools for agile team management: e.g. JIRA, Confluence
- Goods skills of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
- Scrum Master certified and experienced
- Understand and promote agile values: FROCC (Focus, Respect, Openness, Commitment, and Courage)
- A great team player who is comfortable helping point out impediments
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills
- Experience with distributed, multi-locations teams
- Able to inspire and motivate people and multi-disciplinary, self-organized teams
- Experience or technical knowledge in financial environments is a must.
