Regional Technical and Innovation Manager – Aquaculture, APAC
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced APAC Regional Technical and Innovation Manager to lead our aquaculture initiatives (with focus on technology of shrimp farms) across the Asia-Pacific region. This role involves driving technical excellence, innovation, and strategic growth in aquaculture nutrition, health, and farm care.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Lead all technical aspects including nutrition, feed production technology, trials, and customer support.
Innovation: Drive innovation by developing and implementing new aquaculture solutions that add value and meet customer needs.
Market Development: Develop and execute strategic technical plans to realize market potential and prepare the region for growth opportunities.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, providing technical support and solutions.
Team Development: Identify and build technical capabilities within the regional and local teams, supporting their development in nutrition, enzyme solutions, feed production technology, and species knowledge.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams, distributors, and global technical support teams to enhance market penetration and support product launches.
Field Testing: Monitor and evaluate the performance of field testing and programs in aquaculture.
Competitive Intelligence: Obtain and evaluate competitive field intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
Representation: Represent the company at technical presentations, conferences, and customer events.
Qualifications:
Education: DVM or Master’s Degree in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven commercial/sales experience in the aquaculture market in APAC, preferably in feed mill additives and high-value species (shrimp, marine fish, high-value freshwater fish).
Skills:
Strong understanding of aquafeed and farm care market in APAC.
Deep technical understanding of aquaculture nutrition and health.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a matrix organization.
Language: Fluent in written and verbal English.
Travel: Willingness to travel extensively throughout the APAC region.
Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Regional Head of Aqua Apsa.
