The Role: Regional HR Advisor - India
As a Regional HR Advisor for India, you will directly manage and support HR initiatives across the India region, providing advisory expertise on local employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices. Your work will have a direct impact on talent engagement, development, and retention, helping to build a strong, diverse workforce in alignment with business needs. You will be responsible for advising People Leaders and employees on a broad spectrum of people matters, including performance management, employee relations, and compliance with local employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Regional HR Advisory: Provide expert HR advisory support for the India region, particularly on local employment laws, compliance, and regulatory issues, ensuring that HR practices are aligned with Indian labor legislation.
Provide Support at a Local Level to Drive Enterprise Strategy: Support the enterprise strategy by ensuring the successful implementation of HR initiatives that align with global business goals while being tailored to the needs of the Indian region.
Performance Management: Support and guide People Leaders and employees through the performance management process. Ensure consistency and fairness in performance appraisals, advise on performance improvement strategies, and facilitate the development of talent within the organization.
Collaborate and Partner with Employee Relations & Compliance: Collaborate and partner with employee relations teams to resolve issues, create positive employee relations environments, and ensure alignment with legal and organizational standards. Work together to ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
Talent Development Support:Provide regional insights into talent development needs, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. Support the deployment of local training and development programs, ensuring their successful implementation within the India region.
Coaching & Development: Coach People Leaders on best practices for managing people, performance, and career development. Provide support in resolving employee performance issues and guide leaders in building high-performing teams.
Partnering with Insights and Analytics Team: Collaborate with the Insights and Analytics team by providing regional insights into workforce planning, talent trends, and people data, helping to inform strategic decisions and enhance people-related forecasting for the India region.
HR Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of HR processes by leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to streamline HR operations, increase efficiency, and improve the employee experience. Ensure that HR processes are efficient, effective, and compliant with local regulations and business objectives.
Support Local People Engagement Initiatives: Support the implementation of local people engagement initiatives that are aligned with enterprise and business objectives. Partner with leadership to design and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, foster inclusivity, improve retention, and contribute to building a positive, high-performance culture in the India region.
What We’re Looking For:
Expert Knowledge in Local Employment Laws: Sound knowledge of Indian employment law, including labor regulations, compliance, and HR best practices. Ability to advise on the practical application of these laws in business contexts.
Experience in Performance Management:Demonstrated experience in supporting performance management processes, including employee reviews, feedback, and improvement plans.
HR Generalist Expertise: At least 8 years of progressive HR experience with a strong generalist background, particularly in a regional advisory role.
Strong Communication & Influencing Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with both leadership and employees.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to analyze HR data and make informed decisions that support business outcomes.
Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution: Skilled in resolving complex people issues, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage conflict effectively.
Cultural Sensitivity: A deep understanding of the diverse cultural landscape in India, with an ability to adapt HR strategies accordingly.
Degree in HR or Related Field: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is preferred.
