The Receivables Finance Manager is a thought leader and change agent who focuses on systemic ways to improve accounts receivable performance. This position partners with cross-functional business and technical teams to maximize free cash flow, identify and resolve points of friction in the order-to-cash process, and delight our customers by providing outstanding customer service. They will use data from various sources to provide actionable insight to decision-makers, influence finance strategy and drive operational performance. This is a high judgment role that requires someone who can execute without structured guidance, navigate ambiguity, and take decisive action when necessary.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead critical operational processes including collections, cash application, credit notes and deduction management, collections and vendor/customer contact management.
• Drive organization strategy, playing a leader role in improving process efficiencies and effectiveness, providing critical feedback regarding tool design, and lead adoption efforts of new processes, workflows, tools and other automation.
• Identify improvement opportunities (upstream and downstream) and drive engagement across business partners, team members and customers to construct and implement long term solutions.
• Build long-term relationships with internal and external partners to improve OTC lifecycle.
• Define, maintain and monitor performance metrics to ensure decisions are data driven.
• Ensure new businesses and acquired businesses are successfully onboarded to Amazon systems and processes, in order to ensure maximum collection and cash application efficiency.
• Develop and manage milestones across projects to ensure timely and successful deliverables.
• Dive deep and design/redesign processes for existing as well as new business lines and geographic expansion.
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
