Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Month-End Close: Conduct month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journals, allocations, and account reconciliations.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Fixed Assets Accounting: Manage accounting and reconciliations for fixed assets, including leases and intangibles.
- Banking Journals: Post bank-related journals, prepare reconciliations, and generate various financial reports.
- Review P2P & O2C: Review procure-to-pay (P2P) and order-to-cash (O2C) accounting, reconciliations, journals, and quality metrics.
- Financial Statements Preparation: Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS/US GAAP and ensure timely submission of country-level reporting packs.
- Intercompany Transactions: Ensure all intercompany transactions are accurately processed and eliminated, prepare intercompany aging reports, and manage cost allocations.
- Consolidated Financials: Submit consolidated financials after performing all eliminations and checks in collaboration with the corporate team.
- Audit Support: Support external and internal audits by providing documentation, archive retrieval, and journal walkthroughs.
- Process Documentation: Maintain and update internal process documentation and ensure consistency with global financial controlling standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including P2P, O2C, FP&A, treasury, and banking to streamline processes and systems.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures, providing support to internal audits as needed.
Qualifications
- A semi qualified accountant with 4 to 6 years’ experience or a qualified accountant with 1 to 3 years' experience
- 2 - 4 years of experience in accounting of a multinational company / Consulting Firm
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with various finance teams and stakeholders.
- Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
