At NIQ, the Analyst – Record-to-Report (R2R) is responsible for performing key financial activities including preparing and posting journals, conducting reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. This role involves managing fixed assets accounting, handling intercompany transactions, and providing support for internal and external audits. The Analyst – R2R ensures compliance with internal controls and maintains accurate financial records to support business operations. 

Key Responsibilities - 

• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner. 
• Account Reconciliations: Conduct reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, investigate, and resolve discrepancies. 
• Month-End Close: Support month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion. 
• Fixed Assets Accounting: Manage accounting and reconciliations for fixed assets, including leases and intangibles. 
• Banking Journals: Post bank-related journals, prepare reconciliations, and generate financial reports. 
• Reporting Support: Assist in the quality submission of reporting packs for various countries. 
• Intercompany Transactions: Ensure all intercompany transactions are accurately processed and eliminated. 
• Cost Allocations: Process intercompany cost allocations efficiently and accurately. 
• Intercompany Aging Report: Prepare and circulate intercompany aging reports to stakeholders. 
• Journal Back-Up: Collect and create backup documentation for all topside journals posted. 
• Audit Support: Provide support for external and internal audits, including documentation, archive retrieval, and journal walkthroughs. 
• Process Documentation: Maintain and update internal process documentation to reflect current practices. 
• Standard Operating Procedures: Ensure consistency in standard operating procedures in line with global financial controlling expectations

Qualifications and Skills 

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting or a related area. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). 
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with global teams. 
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
• Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with various finance teams and stakeholders. 
• Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance. 
• Process Improvement: Ability to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
