Business Information: Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units—Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Mission Statement: Hitachi Energy is a world leader in the area of Power Quality Solutions (PQS). Hitachi ABB Powergrids was the first to introduce Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) technology to the power industry and has delivered solutions for the more than 50 years now. Hitachi nergy has a number of solutions that enhance the security, capacity and flexibility of power transmission systems. These solutions enable power grid owners to increase existing transmission network capacity while maintaining or improving the operating margins necessary for grid stability. Hitachi Energy has the full FACTS portfolio and in-house manufacturing of key components. Our PQS R&D group in Chennai is focusing on developing and evaluating functionalities for STATCOM, STATIC VAR Compensator (SVC), Series Compensator and Synchronous Condensers for utilities and industries. The aim is to provide a comprehensive and robust base solution that can, with minimum effort, be customized to suite specific client requirement.
