Business Information: Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, new products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D and Research centres of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. The team manager is expected to define and implement both long term and short-term strategies for the team, as per the overall organization strategy. Your Responsibilities: Support or participate in preparing technical design documents in response to market / product / technical / functional / non-functional requirements specifications Develop software and / or review software development according to security development lifecycle and technical design documents Act as a technical specialist and liaison between operations / support and the development teams Develop / build proof of concepts as a step towards comprehensive software development Conduct and / or participate in unit / bench / API / functional / non-functional testing of software products / features Analyze the developed code, prepare bug reports, conduct root cause analysis, suggest fixes, implement and / or ensure implementation of the identified solution, subsequent verification and validation steps Deploy and operate software product and releases for internal / external customer projects in on-premises and / or off-premises models Act as L3/L4 support team member for, e.g., troubleshooting software issues with users, maintain user accounts in the existing systems, identification of technical problems including hardware, network, and configuration issues, and maintaining and configuring the system infrastructure (servers) Engage with internal / external software development vendors Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. Your Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, electronics, or communications. Experience in agile development processes or similar. 4 - 6 years of software development and / or DevSecOps experience. Hands-on experience with Linux (must have), Windows (nice to have), and mobile environments. Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in C#, .Net Framework, .Net (Core) Microservices and containerized applications Azure cloud environment Algorithms and data structures Process automation mindset and strive for optimization and continuous improvement. Experience with CI/CD, configuration management, and version control (and tools such as TFS and GIT) Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests. Basic knowledge of system administration, networks, infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls), configuration, and troubleshooting. Ideally, knowledge in Angular JS Angular/React Javascript, NodeJS Python Databases – Postgres Ability to work independently with a sense of ownership and responsibility, Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required .
