ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for review of project drawings and establish RFI-Request for information document.
  • Responsible for Quantity take-offs for different types of elements as per the method of measurement modes specified.
  • Identify the packages and delegate the work to QS and AQS to meet the deadline of the deliverables.
  • Identify, prepare, and establish Bill of quantities for various trade packages.
  • Preparation of various stages of cost plans as per project requirements.
  • Generate cost breakdown and establish unit rates for elements.
  • Gather proposals, specifications and related documents and convert to cost estimates.
  • Prepare, review, and generate tender documents including terms and conditions, scope of work, drawings and bill of quantities and specifications.
  • Responsible for quality deliverables to the client.
  • Support all activities in preparing comparison statement and assist in generation of technical and commercial evaluation report.
  • Track changes to the design and/or construction work, modify estimates and prepare cost change report.
  • Collaboration with Team and good communication skills are expected.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and support team by providing appropriate cost information and data.
  • Provide cost estimates during change process and advise of cost impact of changes.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate and to make appropriate adjustments and resolve issues.
  • Support project meetings and collaborate with team to meet target timelines for deliverables.
  • Support and utilise experience to aid best practice in all process and procedures.
  • Manage the valuation of work done and handle claims and variations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise project outcomes and achieve value for money.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum 08-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's / master’s degree Civil Preferred.
  • Experience of quantity surveying, estimation, costing, BOQs, rate analysis etc.
  • Ability to complete work on time and on budget within project scope.
  • Client facing with excellent language, report writing, presentation and communication skills.
  • Understanding of cost management methodologies, techniques and earned value analysis.
  • The ability to reconcile cost information and experience across Industrial sector

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:


  • Min of 8 years hands experience in Estimation and Quantity preferably in Pre/Post Contract Industrial/Power/Oil & Gas Projects.
  • Proficient in quantity take off using AutoCAD, CostX.
  • Knowledge of Standard measurement methods like NRM, CESMM, POMI. Uniformat, Masterformat.
  • Charted membership of RICS (MRICS)/CCP(AACE) will be added advantage.

Note: Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience in US (industrial, energy, and oil and gas sectors).
