We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will work to ensure that the construction project is completed within its projected budget.

• Cost Management: Prepare cost plans to enable design teams to produce practical designs for construction projects, which involve liaising with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  
• Contract Handling: Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
  
• Risk Assessment: Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work; identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  
• Value Engineering: Perform risk, value management, and cost control during construction.
  
• Claims Management: Advise on and mitigate the effects of disputes; recognize potential contractual issues on site and make recommendations to protect the company’s interests.
  
• Reporting: Keep track of changes to the construction project and adjust budget projections accordingly.
  
• Procurement: Ensure that all aspects of the construction project are compliant with insurance, legal, safety, and environmental standards.
  

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Certification: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) accreditation is highly preferred.
  
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the construction industry.
  

• Analytical Skills: Strong capability in numerical and statistical analysis.
  
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.
  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost management software such as CostX or similar.
  
• Legal and Financial: Understanding of construction laws and financial management of projects.
  
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  

• Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required by the project and client needs.
  
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Tamil and English is essential to manage local projects and communicate effectively.
