Post/Job Title Quantity Surveying
Job Purpose
To manage and control the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that the project is delivered within budget and in accordance with agreed-upon terms and conditions. A Quantity Surveyor works closely with the project team to estimate costs, manage project finances, and ensure value for money, while also ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations
Duration It is a fixed term contract for a period of 2 years
Job Location Candidate is expected to work in IIMB Jigani campus
Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- He will be reporting on the Immediate Superior of IIMB on day-to-day site activities.
- To monitor the quality, safety and progress of works as per terms of the contract and approved schedule.
- To record the measurements on work and coordinate with the Project Engineer of IIMB in all his duties as listed under Immediate Superior
- To submit daily progress report to Immediate Superior /Project Manager, IIMB.
- To record the measurements of civil, plumbing, electrical works as per actuals at site and to give check measurements to Project Manager, IIMB/Immediate Superior
- To attend to audit queries of IIMB on RA and Final Bills.
- To prepare revised estimates, estimates on minor works, data for non-tender works etc. as per contract.
- To record the measurements as per BOQ items and recommend the payments/revised rates/data rates in coordination with the Immediate Superior.
- To be fluent with tender specifications and BIS 1200 on mode of measurements on works etc.
- To submit daily progress report to Immediate Superior/Project Manager, IIMB.
Key Skill and Ability Requirements
Construction methods, contracts, cost estimating, Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, build soft, or similar) and a solid understanding of measurement techniques and cost estimation, cost analysis, and monitor expenditures. Precision in cost estimation, measurement, and reporting to ensure accuracy and avoid discrepancies.
Qualification andPersonal Profile
The candidate should have done a diploma in Civil engineering/electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
The candidate is expected to have a minimum of 5 years of field experience in handling assignments listed under principal accountability & responsibilities.
Age: Should be below 45 years.
