Job description:
SSGA is seeking an intern for its Research team. This team is responsible for research in multi-asset class portfolio constructions, developing, maintaining and improving quantitative models to implement strategic as well as tactical portfolio solutions. The team creates tactical investment models for Equites, Fixed Income, Commodities and risk models.
Key responsibilities:
Assist senior researchers in their day-to-day tasks and long-term research projects
Analysis of existing ISG models, with focus on quantitative techniques involving but not limited to time series modeling, cross sectional models and statistical analysis
The role may expand over time to incorporate broader responsibility including development & testing of new Tactical Asset Allocation models.
Candidate will be required to
Have strong hold on following:
Applied Probability and Statistics
Time Series Modeling
Regression and Machine Learning
Introductory course in Financial Modeling
Independently write production level model codes in R and python (to implement models for research)
Onboard/Explore new data
Use quantitative/ML skills to develop desirable models
Build domain knowledge of Quant Investing
Learn multi-asset investing

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institute is a requirement, preferably in the field of Data Science with a touch of management studies
Hands on experience in Python, R
