Quality Engineer – MULTIBASE™ Daman

The Quality Engineer for MULTIBASE™ Daman provides direct responsibility and oversight of quality work processes for the Daman manufacturing site.   The quality engineer ensures an effective Quality Management System, uses strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve quality performance at the site.  The quality engineer applies knowledge of QMS, product/process design, continuous improvement, quantitative methods/tools, and new product, raw material, introduction to deliver on quality goals and metrics. 

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Facilitate calibration and routine daily/weekly/Monthly/Yearly instrument maintenance to ensure accuracy of results
• Perform inspection of material using a variety of inspection and measurement tools such as UTM, Impact Tester, MFI tester, Hardness Tester, Moisture, Injection molding.
• Interface with multiple functions including Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Site Quality Support, R&D, TS&D, Analytical, Production, internal partners (including regulatory), and customers to lead multi-disciplinary change/improvement teams/workflows.
• Investigate and response to customer satisfaction concerns.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and identify areas of improvement.
• Takes a systematic approach to problem solving by looking beneath the surface to identify root causes and recognizes the need to escalate problems due to awareness of the potential impact and sensitivity to the business.
• Perform regular data analysis for product trending and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and document quality procedures and update or approve production related procedures for quality aspects.
• Collaborate with quality systems resources to develop best practices and share learnings.
• Support problem solving, the quality improvement process, and effective corrective and preventive actions.

• Ensure compliance of all corrective & Preventive actions to avoid repetition of Customer complaints.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in and around plant premises to ensure clean & safe workplace.
• Knowledge on ISO 9001 systems including auditing experience.
• SAP knowledge
