Job Description

Job Summary

Provides customer satisfaction through quality related involvement. Will support and meet the objectives and goals of Quality Engineering and the Oragadam Facility.  Provide training and leadership for Corrective Action Teams and Work Groups.  Maintain ISO 9001 Quality Systems and requirements. Provide the liaison between Quality Engineering and other departments in support of quality and manufacturing initiatives.  This is a self-starter position to include resolution of ETO panel quality issues, data support, correction, corrective, and preventative action.  Ensure Good Business Ethics through familiarity with policies and procedures relating to standards of business conduct. Have a good oral and written communication skills.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive Quality improvements continually to achieve manufacturing quality KPI target
• Maintain Quality System processes and procedures to make sure to meet ISO 9001 and headquarter requirements
• Manage Customer and third-party audits and follow the CA/PAs to close
• Lead customer FAT panel review for ETO business and follow the issue to close
• Prepare customer FAI files and get approval for on time delivery
• Provide problem solving (root cause failure analysis) and corrective action services to Operation processes
• Analyze field return information for areas of quality improvement if needed
• Provide Quality Engineering technical evaluation with Design of Experiments and Process Capability studies.
• Take the role of MRB coordinator to manage manufacturing process defects.
• Review and Approve Deviation Authorizations
• Implement Stop Production/Hold Shipment orders from Business group and Initiate Stop Production/Hold Shipment orders internally and follow to completion
• Take the role of quality continuous improvement
• Provide the quality analysis activities and draft the Weekly/Monthly reports for key issues
•  Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.

Main COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal

Tracks and reports on department activities to various levels throughout the Company.

As the interface with customer, get customer requirement and transmit to plant.

Coordinate internal resource to solve manufacturing process quality issue.  

Leadership

Supports Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP), Lean/Six sigma, and 5 S initiatives

Team member/leader of pilot, early production, standard products as well as legacy products.

Create Top 5 reports and facilitate meetings for Assembly & Fabrication Depts.

Interfaces with engineering groups, customers and suppliers on quality related issues

• B.E – Electrical and Electronics / Electronics and Communication with 6 to 10 years experience
• Command of the English Language – oral and written
• ISO 9001,14001,45001 – Internal / Lead auditor
• Exposure on Lean / Six Sigma
• You will report to Quality Manager
