Purpose
Prepare and review quality documentation i.e. Inspection and test reports etc. to be supplied to customer. Review quality documentation supplied by vendor for correctness and completeness. Inspect and ensure compliance to quality of raw materials, parts in process and finished products.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
·Obtain required QA/QC documents for databook / datapack compilation from various business units
·Prepare quality databooks / datapacks to be supplied to customers by compiling project / product related quality documentsviz. Inspection reports, test packs etc. as per the work instruction (WI).
·Prepareand review Inspection test plan (ITP) for business units.
·Review quality databooks / datapacks prepared by peers and provide feedback
·Address queries from customers related to quality documentation of products supplied
·Review and approve quality documentation supplied by vendor for completeness and correctness to ensure compliance to quality requirements
·Prepare ballooned inspection drawings for manufacturing and inspection
·Inspect and ensure compliance to quality of raw materials, parts in process and finished products manufactured by Oceaneering as well as vendors
·Prepare, review and approve Quality Assurance Plan, Material Test Reports, Product Testing Reports, Final Product QC, In-process manufacturing quality.
·Knowledge of Casting, machining and sheet metal components
·Resolve complex problems with minimal to nil supervision
Quality Management System
·Record and analyze quality data using techniques like Pareto analysis, RCA etc. and recommend corrective and preventive actions
·Help team in preparing procedures, work instructions, checklists etc.
·Contribute to drive various Quality initiatives viz. RCA / CAPA, Productivity Improvement, QMS ISO 9001:2015 deployment etc.
·Help in maintaining the QMS website content
Operational Excellence
·Contribute in Lean Six Sigma based improvement initiatives and projects through application of basic LSS tools (Yellow Belt level)
Safety
Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Other
Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities however person is required to mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
§Diploma in Engineering (preferred in Mechanical Engineering or allied branch) with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Or
Bachelors in Engineering (preferred in Mechanical Engineering or allied branch) with minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
§Should be able to read & understand engineering drawings.
§Should have good understanding of GD&T.
§Should have good understanding of material, manufacturing & testing.
§Good knowledge of more than one relevant industry codes/standards (e.g. ASME, ASTM, AISC etc.)
§Working knowledge of Solidworks & AutoCAD preferable
§Ability to work in team and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced project environment.
§Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma & QMS preferred
§Strong in both verbal and written communication skills
§Good computer skills (Word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software)
