Department
You will be part of Manufacturing Operation-India, Global Supply Chain, Cement who supports Capital and Service for Materials, Warehouse & Logistics. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges. This department works closely with both our internal and external customers to ensure FLSmidth equipment’s on time delivery and customer satisfaction. You will be located in the Arakkonam plant.
Role
The Quality Control Engineer role at Arakkonam ensures quality control processes and inspections are done according to best practices.
Your responsibilities- Responsible for ensuring 100% quality through Inward Raw material, WIP, finished products and packaging material during various stages of production.
- In depth knowledge of Electrical, Electronic and Instrument testing.
- Knowledge of Robotics, Electro-Mechanical Product experience added advantage.
- Responsible for establishing the processes (IMS process and its sustenance) for ensuring the standardization of manufacturing process steps at the shop floor in terms of minimum number of deviations from quality norms in the WIP and the finished product.
- All the QA related process of training the people for quality work, SOPs for work, Systems for FIRST TIME RIGHT quality to be developed, impart training, and then demand and monitoring the compliance of processes.
- Develop and improve the supplier quality systems to meet our standards, take decisions on suppliers that are not performing.
- Leading various quality audits to ensure that the process compliance is adhered
- Responsible for evaluating customer complaints as per the quality parameters and resolving the same in minimum possible time.
Key Accountabilities
- Inspect and approve incoming materials from suppliers, ensuring they meet specified requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Ensure that only trained Electrician (Inhouse / Supplier) are put on-line for correct job and correct skill level. Initiate Govt Licence for experience Wireman is carried out.
- Prepare quality control reports and present findings to supervisors and stakeholders.
- Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.
What you bring- Experience in quality control/quality analysis organization or leading cross- functional quality improvement projects and teams.
- PLC Panel Testing with Siemens, Beckhoff and AB
- Strong Knowledge in Electrical and Instrument Testing
- Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (green belt)
- Lead / Internal Auditor in ISO 9001:2015 standard.
- Demonstrated ability to perform well in a rapidly changing and extremely global team.
- Excellent English communication skills both written/verbal (Hindi added advantage)
- Strong critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of breaking down a complex process and identifying key pain points in order to deliver business improvements at the regional or global level.
