Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst - Decision Intelligence


  • Brief Job Summary
  • The Quality Assurance Analyst role works across data-focused projects in support of the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization in the Data and Supply Technology Excellence (DSTE) team. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated IT Quality Assurance specialist with a passion for data and knowledge of multiple technologies and concepts, with strong data and SQL skills. Knowledge of agile project management, cloud computing is a plus.
  • This role is responsible for ensuring IT projects meet the quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, with the ability to implement rigorous software testing standards for technical solutions being delivered. Domain knowledge of Manufacturing and Supply chain process in a pharmaceutical industry is desired.

  • Role Purpose
    • Support development, operations, and enhancements of decision intelligence and analytic-focused digital capabilities for GPS and GPS BI&T groups. This includes testing of decision intelligence and analytic solutions, following full software lifecycle management.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing standards and strategies.
    • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
    • Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the quality of IT solutions.
    • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
    • Collaborate with multiple teams including source applications teams, data lake teams and developers, to perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
    • Monitor and report on quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Conduct thorough validation of data accuracy, algorithms, and decision-making processes within the tool.
    • Participate in daily scrum calls, status meetings to provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on testing progress and outcomes.
    • Participate in project meetings and provide input on testing-related such as scope, timelines etc.
    • Ability to quickly learn and adapt new Decision Intelligence tools and technologies, platforms

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing, with focus on data analytics/visualization, decision intelligence or similar applications.
  • Proficiency in testing tools and framework, QA methodologies, defect management tools, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), JIRA, Confluence.
  • Strong of SQL skills and experience with database testing
  • Experience with Visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI), Decision Intelligence tools, data warehousing fundamentals and concepts.
  • Exposure to AWS S3 Data Lake, Athena, Python is a big plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, managing multiple stakeholders and priorities and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
