We are seeking a detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manual and automated testing, a passion for delivering high-quality software, and a good understanding of SDLC and QA best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Test Planning & Design: Analyse product requirements, create comprehensive test plans, and define test cases. Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure clear understanding of the product requirements.
• Test Execution: Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications. Execute functional, regression, and performance testing, Security Testing.
• Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Selenium, Rest Assured Execute automated tests and analyze results to detect issues.
• Performance & API Testing: Utilize tools like JMeter, Postman, or Rest Assured to test API endpoints and system performance.
• Bug Management & Reporting: Document defects with detailed steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results. Provide timely bug reports and work closely with the development team to resolve issues. Participate in regular standups and sprint planning meetings.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of manual testing techniques and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Rest Assured.
• Proficiency in bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Zoho) and test management tools.
• Familiarity with API testing (using Postman, Swagger) and performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of programming languages (Java).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience with mobile testing (Android/iOS).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for testing
