Job Description

Project Lead QA/QC – India is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and quality control operations, ensuring that products and services consistently meet established standards, industry regulations, and client requirements, by developing and implementing robust quality management systems, conducting regular audits, identifying areas for improvement, and leading a team of QA/QC personnel to maintain high quality throughout the production process; they play a critical role in minimizing defects, optimizing operational efficiency, and upholding the company's reputation for quality


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


General


  • Oversee the entire QA QC operation and ensure the program is run smoothly.
  • Review all the client program inspection reports and provide quality comments in the report distribution email, especially the failed inspection reports.
  • Identify and mitigate the risks throughout supply chain to ensure defined quality and turnaround time are maintained.
  • Quality System Development and Implementation:
    • Establish and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with industry standards and company policies. 
    • Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and work instructions for all production processes. 
    • Define clear quality metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Quality Assurance Oversight:
    • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with quality standards and procedures. 
    • Review and approve quality documentation including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports. 
    • Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and potential issues. 
    • Investigate quality concerns, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence. 
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and manage a team of QA/QC inspectors, technicians, and analysts. 
    • Provide training and development opportunities for QA/QC staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge. 
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on project requirements. 
  • Supplier Quality Management:
    • Evaluate and approve suppliers based on quality standards and capabilities. 
    • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements. 
    • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. 
  • Customer Focus:
    • Understand and meet client quality expectations. 
    • Address customer complaints related to quality issues promptly and effectively. 
    • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure quality is a priority throughout the customer lifecycle. 

Qualifications

B Tech - Textile 



Additional Information

B. Tech in (Textile Technology) or related field from a four-year college or university.


Previous US Retail Brand experience is must  


More than 15 years’ work experience.


  • Motivate the team to achieve excellence in performance and encourage proactive approach and initiative
  • Should have experience of establishing and managing teams
  • Accountable to ensure all team members are discipline to follow the program procedures or SOPs without failure.
