QA Manual Test Expert

Summary of Position:

• Being part of SCRUM team taking responsibility of QA deliverables and Test artifacts that includes Test strategy, Testing scenarios, Test cases and Test execution result.
• Perform various phases of testing, including; unit, system, integration, regression and functional testing
• Create and track the bugs in Test management tools.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables. Experience in Internal and External Audit process. Execute formal/informal review cycles, testing sign-off.
• Manage eCommerce test environment and test data, as well as integrated systems test data
• Support UAT, hypercare, business go live testing to new markets
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize across multiple tasks at the same time
• Trusted colleague who can collaborate with multiple team members
• Ensure Agile User Stories contain appropriate acceptance criteria and regression testing requirements, prior to releasing into the backlog.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role you will act as Quality Assurance Test Engineer for a key strategic initiative (s) within Alcon Digital Health leveraging significant enterprise experience in hands-on testing of the new code releases in an agile environment. This includes having the strong ability to quickly onboard in new software application, develop a test model for progression work, and help build out regression test cases to provide better test coverage maturity. You will play a key role in furthering the modernization journey for Alcon Digital team to achieve new heights.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working in Quality assurance role working in Agile methodology. Minimum 2+ years of testing experience in SAP and Aera.
•  Digital supply chain tools.
• Being part of SCRUM team taking responsibility of QA deliverables and Test artifacts that includes Test strategy, Testing scenarios, Test cases and Test execution result. 
• Perform various phases of testing, including; unit, system, integration, regression and functional testing Develop and improve testing automation tools and infrastructure
• Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution
• Document defects, using a Jira, and report defects to software developers.
• Handling Test management tools like qTest or HP ALM
• Prepare sanity and regression suite and plan to execute it for every release (or often as needed)
• Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
• Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
• Install and configure recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance.
• Experiences with Web and Mobile applications testing frameworks such as Appium, Selenium. Ect
• Design or develop automated testing solutions.
• Investigate customer problems referred by technical support.
• Perform initial debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Strong collaborator and proactive team player in a cross-functional environment
• Any Certification related to Agile, Supply Chain, Functional testing, and Tosca a plus.
