Your Role
- Work to enhance testing in our CI/CD pipelines by planning, designing, and execution of test cases for our software products.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting defects, ensuring that all issues are documented and clearly communicated to the software teams for resolution.
- Perform retesting and validation of resolved defects to confirm fixes are accurate and that no new issues have been introduced.
- Maintains and improves automated testing procedures, ensuring they are accurate and modern to reflect revisions made to software and systems.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in code reviews to provide feedback on issues relating to testing with software development and systems teams at other global sites.
- Work with the Security team to identify any vulnerabilities and revise any test cases as appropriate.
Your Background:
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, software tester, software developer, or other similar role.
- Proficiency in test frameworks (e.g. JUnit and gTest) test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, and JMeter) and scripting languages. (e.g. Bash, python, etc.).
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral) for effectively identifying, documenting, and resolving issues.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems.
- Must enjoy working in a creative and collaborative environment as part of a cross-functional project team.
Additional Background Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Passion for working with cutting-edge technologies such as AI code/test generation tools (e.g. GitHub CoPilot)
- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience working with Linux operating system.
- Experience working with applications deployed in the public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience working in the Automotive industry with vehicle network systems.
