Outpayce’s R&D division has the mission to provide payment solutions deeply integrated into the reservation/ticketing flow and PCI/DSS products for all Amadeus customers and across all channels.

Amadeus has been investing in travel payments for over 10 years. Today, the Outpayce RND division has teams in Nice, Madrid, London, Erding, Dallas, Bangalore and soon Istanbul.

What job do we have to offer?

With the public cloud migration and the ambition to develop a payment open platform, we are moving towards native cloud architecture and technology based on micro services approach and embracing latest Amadeus recommendations as : 

• Private and public cloud with OpenShift, Quarkus, Kubernetes and Docker (S-Kube Amadeus framework to write Cloud Native Applications based on micro services)
• Mixed Event Driven and Service Oriented Architecture
• Kafka streaming technology
• Open API with REST JSON over HTTPS
• Full CI/CD stack (based on Jenkins, Helm etc …) to ensure seamless code deployment and validation from developer machine to actual end to end platforms.

As a Quality Engineer (QAE), you will join a newly created Agile Release Train, “Orion Train” which goals is to build an issuing platform to issue virtual credit cards to be used by our Travel Agencies customers to pay their providers.

It implies design, develop, deploy and maintain some cloud native applications composed of micro services to be deployed on an open platform.

You’ll be part of scrum team located in Nice.

Main accountabilities

By joining our team, you will have a unique opportunity to participate to the software validation and verification of a strategical evolution in Outpayce offer following the ISTQB principles (International Software Testing Qualifications Board). Your deliverables and support will be key in the success of Outpayce Open platform.

Be involved in the global open platform testing and more particularly of some key components developing new features and technical enhancements with a high degree of quality.

Your goal will be to detect issues as early as possible in the development cycle and avoid their propagation to the production system.

Besides, as one of the ambassadors of quality in Amadeus, you will be a key actor of the cultural change towards an even greater experience for Amadeus customers.

You'll have the possibility to embark journeys like enhancing quality of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines, improvement of quality processes and methodologies as test driven development (TDD) and/or behavior driven development (BDD) recommended by SaFE framework.

Implement Testing Strategy

• Implement the Test strategy with high QA mindset (Test in Black and White box, Shift left approach, Mocking)
• Define test cases from customer’s requirements and ensure trace-ability with specifications.
• Write test plan (functional and/or non-functional and/or non-regression).
• Ensure improvement of non-regression test repository in the Change Request plan.

Design and Perform Tests

• Design test cases and develop automated test case scripts.
• Prepare test environment, test data, and execute test cases.
• Give go/no-go for the customer’s test campaign.
• Be responsible for the project, product or release quality control.

Coordinate Defects (Problem Tracking Records PTRs)

• Provide information to developers in order to fix defects. 
• Check defects and coordinate implementation.
• Document software defects.

Share your activity

• Participate in specification reviews to give input on testing requirements.
• Report and communicate on test activities to the line organization, software developers and product definitions analysts.

We are looking for...

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience,
• Experience in software functional testing (manual and automated), based on ISTQB principles,
• Experience in Back end and API testing,
• Good knowledge of REST, Oauth
• Experience in testing tool such as RobotFramework. Postman/similar tool  is mandatory

• Knowledge of coding language and building testing libraries (Java, Python or another language)
• Experience in using Splunk/Kibana
• Have experience in Microservice API testing
• Soft skills: Team spirit, Multicultural approach, good communication skills

• Experience in an Agile environment Scrum. SAFe ia a plus
• T-shape mindset is a plus
• Basic knowledge about the implementation of QA regression in a CI/CD pipeline ( Jenkins, Docker usage) is a plus
• UI Test automation is a plus
• Experience in the Travel IT and/or Payment industry is a plus
• ISTQB Foundations certification is a plus.
