Job Information


Overview:


We are seeking a talented and experienced Python Team Lead with a strong background in developing robust solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). With at least 8 years of Python development expertise, including proficiency in SQL, Flask, and data transformation, the ideal candidate will lead our team in architecting, developing, and deploying scalable applications and services. Leveraging their in-depth understanding of GCP services and tools, such as Google App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Google BigQuery, the Python Team Lead will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate project requirements into technical solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to guide and mentor a team of developers while driving innovation in cloud-based Python development. Responsibilities:


- Lead a team of QA Automation Engineers, providing guidance and direction in test planning, execution, and automation.


- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA team members to define software requirements and acceptance criteria.


- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.


- Execute automated test suites, report defects, and verify bug fixes.


- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test data.


- Identify opportunities to enhance the test automation framework and continuously improve automation coverage.


- Conduct regression testing and ensure test suites are up-to-date with each release.


- Troubleshoot and analyze test failures, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.


- Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in automated testing.


- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and best practices related to test automation.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).


- Proven experience in QA automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver.


- Strong programming skills in Java and familiarity with object-oriented programming principles.


- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit) and version control systems (e.g., Git).


- Proficiency in writing and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications.


- Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web application architecture.


- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.


- Strong communication and collaboration skills.


- ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is a plus.

Additional Knowledge & Skills


  • Good understanding of specifics of markup for modern browsers. 
  • Understanding of Git , Bit bucket and other version management tools.
  • Understanding of postman, and any other API testing tools.
  • Understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with test automation for Front-End (unit and integration test suites)
  • Experience with JS task runners (Gulp, Grunt, Broccoli)
  • Experience building system in GCP or any other cloud platform.
  • Experience with NodeJS
