Job Description
Major responsibilities
Execute and manage SAP NPI new part setups, from plant extension through the costing process, while resolving any issues. Ensure parts are costed promptly, and Quality Information Records (QIRs) are completed to enable purchase order placement. Utilize SAP and other enterprise systems to collect and analyze data.
Manage the conversion of Shopping Carts to Purchase Orders and oversee the entire end-to-end process.
Collaborate with suppliers and Business Unit stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Facilitate the Last Time Buy process by managing daily tasks and follow-up activities, including EOL data import, LTB category segmentation, communication with BU stakeholders, forecast validation, timely approval management, and prompt issuance of purchase orders.
Perform NPI Bill of Materials (BOM) reviews to identify cost optimization opportunities, drive part and supplier risk mitigation, and generate data related to supply chain health as required.
Key responsibilities:
- Extend part numbers to the plant in SAP and ensure timely costing of parts to facilitate the placement of purchase orders.
- Convert shopping cart requisitions into purchase orders. Follow up with suppliers to obtain order acknowledgements. Collaborate with business unit stakeholders to perform goods receipts.
- Collaborate with business unit stakeholders and cross-functional teams to resolve invoicing issues with suppliers.
- Support and maintain ERP accuracy, including resolving issues related to on-time delivery and lead time accuracy.
- Process Last Time Buy IDs from import to purchase order release and contribute to continuous improvement activities for this process.
- Assist Sourcing Project Managers by performing RFQs, NPI project BOM reviews, and other tasks related to the NPI Buyer role, as preparation for future responsibilities.
- Mitigate product risk through effective sourcing strategy execution, promote the use of preferred suppliers, and provide business unit stakeholders with supply chain risk assessments, including risks related to obsolescence, delivery, currency, logistics, political factors, and more.
- Contribute to overall productivity improvement efforts and management reporting.
- Actively participate in cross-functional NPI team activities.
- Adhere to all Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain management.
- At least one year of Purchasing or Supply Chain experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of MRP, inventory, and production principles.
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency using Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
Desired Qualifications
- SAP experience is an asset.
- PowerBi development is an asset.
- New Product purchasing experience desired.

- Basic understanding of sourcing, procurement, MRP, inventory, logistics and production principles.
- Sound presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
