Tasks:
Project Purchasing Manager:
- Project Lead : to manage & lead a complete customer project (Quality, Cost and Timeline (end to end coordination))
- Component Lead : to manage & lead the procurement activities for the identified components (mechanical or electronics)
Project Lead:
- First point of contact for the BU (ENG, PjM etc.), Plant and other major stakeholders within purchasing (M/PU orga i.e PMQ, PUR)
- Member of SE Team - Active Participation in M/PU & BU review meetings / quality gates
- Active Participation in M/PU & BU review meetings / Quality gates / Purchasing Reviews
- Responsible to achieve the project milestones i.e target price, timeline and quality
- Ensure smooth ramp-up of the project (post SOP)
- Escalate following the escalation matrix, and on-time
- Timeline tracking on part level and also project level
- Lead the component team, perform regular reviews and track the progress of the individual components
- Participate in global PrL exchange and other relevant forums
- Usage of PJM Tool (e.g. Pilum)
Component Lead:
- Responsible for end to end project management (supplier selection to SOP and Ramp-Up)
- Evaluate suppliers, define supplier selection strategy with global buyers / commodity purchasing
- Perform & lead technical supplier discussions (TSD)
- Support negotiation and awarding activities
- Responsible to achieve the target price at component level (by optimizing cost at the supplier)
- Monitor tool cost, work with experts to optimize the tool cost
- Order samples, tools based on project milestones and track the same
- Work with quality team to define preventive quality elements and ensure all measures are in-place pre-SOP
- Define a ramp-up plan and ensure a smooth ramp-up
We are looking for candidates with:
A degree in B.E or B. Tech Mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics
Substantial experience in Purchasing (Buyer, Supplier Quality roles)
Experience in Project Management
Exposed to both, global and local supply base of electrification (aware of potential suppliers)
Who knows and understands technical drawings, mechanical manufacturing processes like ADC, Stamping, Molding and Electronics
Who has substantial knowledge of MS-Office tools
Who has worked in international teams
Who demonstrates good interpersonal skills and can speak GERMAN
