We’re making the lives of people who travel easier and more enjoyable while constantly developing new, intelligent mobility solutions!We are looking for Project Operations Officer (POPS) to join our Metro Project Management TeamThe Project Operations Officer takes on organizational and operational responsibility for the project management topics specified below and supports the project manager for projects assigned to him/her. The Project Operations Officer is part of the project core team.You’ll make a difference by Details and implements the project management processes (e.g. PMP) required by the customer contract and Rolling Stock in consultation with the project manager Coordinates experts (in the above areas of responsibility) to ensure optimum control of the project and therefore to achieve the project objectives Reviews the progress of work in his/her area of responsibility in relation to the project objectives Ensures that the interfaces relating to cross-functional topics in his/her area of responsibility are coordinated in order to ensure that the project runs smoothly Works closely with other subprojects Identifies and manages risks and opportunities for his/her subproject Takes part in all PM milestone meetings for the project Takes part in the risk/opportunity workshops for the project Agrees objectives with subproject team members and delegates defined responsibility and authority Supports dialog between projects (best practice sharing, lessons learned) HR deployment planning for the functions assigned to him/her in consultation with line/PMS function Staffing for the project in the areas of activity concerned in conjunction with line/PMS function Desired Skills: You should have 5-8 years’ experience along with Graduate or postgraduate in engineering with strong academic track record. You should have broader knowledge and experience in project management, preferably in rail projects Ensures communication with stakeholders outside the project within his/her area of responsibility Assessment and documentation of process deviations (based on SMO standard processes) caused by customer requirements for the above-mentioned project management functions. Deviations are only caused by customer specific requirements and must be judged regarding project opportunities and risks Have excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to plan, prioritize and deliver according to plans.
