PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Supporting research & development controllers, providing clear and transparent data on cost to date and at completion and ensure the necessary conditions for achievement of the financial targets including :

•                 Managing controlling and financial reporting of the Development & Technical Center in accordance with internal control rules

•                 Ensuring accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines and reflects the activity performed

•                 Organizing Reporting, Actuals, Budget, Forecast and Rolling Forecast tasks

•                 Ensuring consistency of financial Data with R&D program controllers, with R&D Unit Controlling Heads and Headquarter

•                 Supporting implementation of new methods and tools.

•                 Supporting Program Managers in the controlling of low criticality programs

The jobholder will also ensure effective reporting and controlling under the own responsibility i.e. to ensure adequate controls and processes are in place to meet all of the Company’s requirements and that the accounting for the project is in accordance with the Company’s guidelines and instructions

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Key accountabilities:

Key member of the R&D central Controlling Team, partnering with the Program Managers

• Support the R&D program Controllers, Program Managers and other functions as a Partner
• Provide management with reliable financial data in order to assist in the decision-making (early warning).
• Have a clear understanding of the R&D organization and the programs
• Work closely with Department Heads in order to ensure that financial data are correct and provided on time

Controlling activities

• Transverse role on the financial organization D&IS R&D France
• Ensure Unit R&D financial consolidation including periodical Reviews (monthly, quarterly and yearly) and, as Lead, coordinate inputs to and from all partners (EAC, schedule, variance analysis) throughout the program organization and units.
• Ensure consistency with annual authorized budget and anticipate the request of any arbitration due to overrun or underspend
• Produce all financial reporting as requested (Actuals, Budget, Forecast, Teranga,)
• Provide support for correct risk valuation and provision bookings
• Control and have at all time knowledge of financial movements and ensure that such information is consistent and reconciled on a regular basis in the ERP systems on full scope

Accounting/Guardian of the rules :

• Coordinate with the program team to ensure consistent accounting and reporting datas.
