A Snapshot of Your Day


As a Project Claim Expert at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of contracts, minimizing risks, and maximizing value for the company. Your expertise in claim and contract management, will contribute to the overall success and profitability of the organization in the dynamic energy sector. You will be working embedded in the project execution and in close collaboration with the legal counsel team.


How you’ll make an impact?


§Claim Management:


oManage the entire claim lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing claims.


oClosely align with the legal counsel team to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and best practices.


oLead all activities related to contractual, legal, commercial and insurance issues related to contracts with clients and suppliers.


oDevelop claim strategies based on the contractual T&Cs and evaluation/analysis of legal counsel team


oClaim Negotiation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate claim settlements. Ensure favourable outcomes for the organization while maintaining positive relationships with the key stakeholders


§Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks associated with contracts in bid or execution, including legal, financial, operational, and reputational risks. Develop mitigation measures to risks and protect Siemens Energy's interests.


§Contract Administration: Monitor contract performance and compliance, ensuring that all parties fulfil their contractual obligations within the context of Siemens Energy's operations.


§Relationship Management - Energy Industry: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in contract agreements within the energy industry. Serve as a point of contact for claim-related inquiries and issue resolution specific to Siemens Energy's energy projects and operations.


§Contract Modifications and Amendments: Evaluate requests for contract modifications or amendments in projects, assess their impact on existing agreements, and negotiate changes as necessary. Document and communicate any contract changes to relevant stakeholders.


§Claim Reporting and Analysis: Support Project Managers to report on contract and claim status, performance, and compliance. Analyse contract data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities operations.


§Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on claim and contract related matters. This includes contract interpretation, risk assessment, and compliance requirements. Conduct training sessions to enhance contract management skills.


What will you bring?


§Master's degree in BA or Law


§Proven experience in contract and claim management, minimum of 7 years’ experience, preferably in the energy sector or related industries.


§Solid understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and contract drafting principles within the energy industry.


§Experience/background in project management is a plus


§Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving targets, exceeding customer expectations, and continuous improvement


§Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, specifically tailored to the energy sector.


§Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities within the context of the energy industry.


§High level of attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in energy-related contracts.


§Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively within Siemens Energy's energy projects and operations.


§Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and influence stakeholders at all levels


§Willingness to travel to customer sites or other Siemens Energy locations, as required
