What you will do


This position is part of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Department.  The PSRA Specialist will be responsible for the support of the entire PSRA initiatives by providing support to the PSRA Specialists, maintaining critical information – helping to manage regulatory compliance activities such as REACH, ROHS WEEE, TSCA, PFAS, Conflict Minerals as well as global and regional environment compliance. This role will be responsible for coordinating directly with the US and EU based PSRA teams for direction and oversite on Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance initiatives. This person will provide the necessary oversite to the India based PSRA specialist team.


How you will do it


  • Work directly with global teams to identify regulatory issues with data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and formulations used to design new components and products
  • Review product ingredients for compliance to hazardous chemical laws such as European Union, REACH, RoHS, US FDA, US EPA, TSCA, California Prop 65, US Conflict Minerals, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and customer specifications
  • Review assembly drawings and BOMs to determine material content.
  • Facilitate communication and interactions between suppliers and cross functional teams.
  • Communicate with the suppliers all over the globe to gather necessary compliance data and to validate them.

What we look for


Required


  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in the regulatory field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of materials (ex. plastics, recycling laws, global sustainability, hazardous chemicals, etc.)
  • Knowledge of environmental programs concerning hazardous chemicals in household products
  • Ability to understand chemicals listed in global product laws
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills required
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office

Preferred


  • Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • An understanding of regulations such as REACH ROHS, Conflict minerals, PFAS, TSCA etc.
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing, substances and/or R&D operations
  • Excellent Microsoft skill should be comfortable with advance MS-Excel.
