What you will be doing:
Within 3 Months you will:
Onboarding and Initial Assessment:
- Get acquainted with the development team and key business stakeholders.
- Understand current product status, ongoing projects, and immediate priorities.
- Review and familiarize with existing product documentation and roadmaps.
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and understand their current metrics.
- Conduct initial meetings with stakeholders to gather business objectives and expectations.
- Begin translating business objectives into preliminary product requirements.
- Review and refine the current product backlog.
- Prioritize immediate features and enhancements based on business needs.
- Start planning and prioritizing short-term product features and enhancements with the development team.
Vision and Strategy Development:
- Develop an initial product vision and strategy.
- Communicate the vision and strategy to internal teams and stakeholders.
Feedback Gathering:
- Start gathering feedback from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
By 3-6 months you will:
Product Roadmap Planning:
- Develop a detailed product roadmap based on gathered requirements and feedback.
- Align the roadmap with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Continue regular meetings with stakeholders to refine and adjust product requirements.
- Ensure continuous alignment of product goals with business objectives.
- Regularly update and maintain the product backlog.
- Reassess and adjust priorities as needed based on stakeholder feedback and market changes.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure smooth execution of the product roadmap.
Vision and Strategy Communication:
- Continue refining and communicating the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to all stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment across all teams.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor product performance using KPIs.
- Analyze deviations from targets and implement corrective actions.
By 6-12 months you will:
Advanced Roadmap Execution:
- Oversee the execution of the mid-to-long-term product roadmap.
- Ensure timely delivery of key features and enhancements.
- Maintain ongoing collaboration with stakeholders to adapt to any changes in business objectives.
- Ensure that product development remains aligned with evolving business goals.
- Continuously refine and optimize the product backlog to reflect the latest priorities and feedback.
- Introduce new features and enhancements based on user feedback and market demands.
- Provide ongoing support to the development team to facilitate seamless product development.
Feedback Integration:
- Deepen the feedback loop with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Utilize feedback to inform product iterations and improvements.
Performance and KPI Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of product performance metrics.
- Identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for optimization.
Industry and market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for innovation and product improvement.
Customer Advocacy:
- Champion the needs of the customer continuously.
- Ensure the product delivers maximum value to users.
Long-term Vision and Strategy Adjustment:
- Adjust the product vision and strategy based on market trends, performance data, and stakeholder feedback.
- Communicate any strategic changes to all relevant parties to ensure continued alignment.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- Overall experience of 10-15 years
- Product Ownership experience of 5+ years
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / (Master's degree preferred) / MBA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and implementing strong quality processes
