The role of Product Manager in Unified Communications is highly specialized. As a Product Manager, the individual is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and overseeing APIs that act as the central component for various products, programs, or offerings, as well as managing the lifecycles of accessories and devices/clients, and governance management of product management.
Primary Responsibilities:
API Management:
Develop and execute a comprehensive API management strategy and roadmap to ensure seamless integration and data exchange across multiple systems and platforms
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements, design, development, and testing
Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure API solutions meet customer needs and business goals
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of API initiatives
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements related to API management
Accessory and Device/Client Lifecycle Management:
Develop and execute a comprehensive lifecycle management strategy for accessories and devices/clients across all product lines
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define accessory and device/client requirements, design, development, and testing
Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accessory and device/client solutions meet customer needs and business goals
Define and track KPIs to measure the success of accessory and device/client initiatives
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements related to accessory and device/client lifecycle management
Product Management Governance Management:
Define and assist in developing the product strategy, roadmap, goals and metrics that's based on customer needs, strategic opportunities and overall company resources.
Establish and maintain product management processes, standards, and best practices across all product lines
Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to product management
Define and track KPIs to measure the success of product management governance initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks related to product management governance.
Convert the strategy and strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives over different time frames for the APIs and Accessories.
Capable of identifying unification of the process governance across multiple product lines
The successful candidate will drive the product evolution by understanding the market trends and the strategic direction. Candidates must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment without supervision.
Must have 5+ years of Product management experience
Must have the ability to think creatively and strategically to develop comprehensive strategies and roadmaps for API management, accessory and device/client lifecycle management, and product management governance management.
Must have ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to convey product vision, requirements, and goals.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of API development, product lifecycle management, and product management governance management concepts and principles.
Must have an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Must have an ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop KPIs to measure the success of product initiatives.
Must have an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure product success.
Excellent Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to API management, accessory and device/client lifecycle management, and product management governance management, and the ability to ensure compliance with these requirements.
