Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Product Manager, your primary role will be to own the strategy and execution of compilers and languages products IBM Z. This includes managing the complete product lifecycle and guaranteeing both financial success and client satisfaction. You’ll be at the forefront of a significant transformation aimed at application modernization on IBM Z. Your leadership will be pivotal in aiding clients in digitally transforming their businesses. This requires collaborating with cross-functional teams and different business units.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
A minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, preferably focusing on application development / modernization solutions:
Proficient in product management principles, including market analysis, product roadmap development, feature prioritization, and stakeholder management.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from concept to launch.
Ability to understand customer needs, gather feedback, and incorporate customer insights into the development and enhancement of application modernization solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate the value proposition of compilation technologies, communicate product requirements, and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong understanding in COBOL, PL/I, or COBOL languages within the z/OS environment
Experience in developing applications on z/OS platform, demonstrating hands-on experience and familiarity with its environment, tools, and development practices
